Article after article explains various subsections of Google Adsense. But what exactly is this platform? Is it just a Google account with extra added features? Much more than that, Adsense is a system based on advertising content. That may have already been a given but digging deeper to gain the entire knowledge based on what Adsense offers, policies and constructs is a bit more complicated.
For instance the ads shown on your credited web space is aimed to be similar to the content the blog focuses on. If the content is about doughnuts or baking over the course of the pass week, ads will pop up demonstrating new ideas, recipes or even new bakeries available around the city. If an ad does pop up representing a topic completely off base from the content, please contact a Google Adsense Administrator.
To pick up on a higher angled revenue, keep an eye on what ads are placed on your site. The better the compatibility from the quality content to the advertisements (basically you want the ads and content to be similar) the search results will be even better. Adding a more stable relationship with traffic and loyal visitors.
Adsense relies on curators/publishers to customize the ads placed on their sites. Not only is this handy as well as exceptionally exciting but easier to color code and stylize the intended website. No one wants an overly flash appealed rectangle banner strung across the page. Adsense by policy gives the rights over to the curator/publisher to become creative with size, shape, color, text, image, link and etc.
While statistical tools are available via other websites, Google Adsense provides their own. Think of the platform website as a take care of your own junction. Be sure to follow guidelines and regulations, for instance the limit of ads per page is three. Whether they are all image based, link based or text. You can even mix and match if you prefer. For one the skyscraper banner can span 300×600 in size… when vertical link units can span at the maximum of 200×90. Adsense provides follow through guides for ad measurements, so no one will overdue an unnecessary ad.
Examples are exposed and positioned to show newcomers exactly how the ads should be placed. For anyone starting out with Google Adsense this is a plus. Even typical tricks of the trade are talked about. Like how a header with a logo (a basic introduction style) should be the first thing anyone sees from the site. Then the possibility of an ad. Never the other way around.
Adsense has helped millions of new users find a purpose. That is a proper way to display their blog without coming off as uneducated or unrefined. To make a long story short, Adsense takes care of their own in a simplistic standing. By offering an example site showing which element would benefit within each position. A curator/publisher does not need to worry. Since these are the essential baby steps to working with Adsense, follow the rules closely and the walkthrough guides even more closely.
Predictability seems out of reach…that is for most individuals. Yet for the world of advertising, predictability is a tool to use to seek out any trends for future investments. As luck would have it the website Velocity takes out the hard work by scanning millions of URLs each day to find and pick out any trends starting to surface. Now that’s the thing about trends, they seem to happen by chance. One blogger may write about the process of marketing options and somehow five other bloggers end up doing the same. These trends are the leading pioneers of a predictive advertising front.
By running in front of the storm and identifying any trends ready to be placed within a blog post. Take a look at your revenue. Because “trends” also is a code for increased revenue. Think of it as a sudden jump start to your blog based on traffic and keyword CPC functions. Whether traffic was slow to begin, then steady began to build. Take a shot with incorporating a possible trending niche into the publishing.
Back to Velocity for a moment, Velocity does have an app available to stay ahead of the curve. So think about it for a moment and consider downloading the app to save some time and hustle. Velocity has seen an increased number of traffic just from the possibility of predicting trends! Which sounds slightly insane, yet if at any point one could increase their revenue two fold, that’s a chance worth taking.
The technical term is ‘Predictive Analytics’. And the amount of sustaining power this idea carries is monumental. Being able to predict CPC’s with a higher distinction and ratio allows for the lower CPC’s to be thrown out the window. There would honestly come a point where lower CPC’s would decrease by 50% at least. One honorable section about ‘Predictable Analytics’ will be the concrete conclusion of creating new improved content. A publisher/blogger would no longer have to worry about cost (high or low) towards links, text or images. Because of the trend and by watching to rise or fall of that trend, you would be able to predict exactly what should be written content wise.
Even thought ‘Predictive Analytics’ is still considered a strategy which time will tell if it is successful. Already this strategy is causing a stir around the web. As months go by improvements are being made via Velocity. Although Velocity is one of the main attractors, there are three more options to keep an open eye on: cluster models, propensity models and collaborative filtering. Which properly involve discovering the data used by bloggers. In the sense by tracking behavior by demographic location. Zeroing in on which countries may be visiting your site more, as well as clicking on the ads on your page. Collecting this type of data is important for any general increase towards a revenue, this are just a handful of ways to officially raise your earnings.
Words are the reason an influx of money happens to exist for publishers. Advertisers utilize the capacity a single word holds, some hold a significant expensive amount while others are considered a low-cost word.
The question is, where do we find these high paying keywords? Of course we have already mentioned about typing into the search browser ‘Expensive Keywords for 2016’. However, what about the keywords which never seem to lose steam? The keywords always ringing in a profit?
Let’s take 2015 for a start…the main keywords for last year was blogs involving Insurance, Mortgage and Loans. Ideally any blogs or sites with information about Home Insurance, Car Insurance or Rental Insurance brought in the most revenue. Typically the type ranking keywords will be arranged in a Top 20 or Top 40 graph. Also you may have noticed that rental properties shot through the roof last year causing quiet a stir.
Now for 2016 typing in ‘High Paying Keywords of 2016’ brings up more blogs than one can go through in a single night. So in terms of pacing yourself, check the first ten blogs that show up and compare which keywords are reappearing. Which keywords pop up more frequently? Which country do you intend to check to see which expensive keywords are being used? A lot of Adsense users forget about that last bit of information. Each country more than likely will have a different list than the next. What about the topic in which you’ve picked to talk about? How will those high paying keywords fit in? Are they even in the same topic range? The questions you need to ask yourself are here, present in front of you. Yet even more questions should be asked about this particular point.
A suggestion would be to make a check list of different countries, writing out which words are on their Top 20 lists. Narrow down to a Top 10 list and pay attention to the criteria they represent.
Take the U.K. Top 20 list which consists of niches like Gambling, Finance, Tech, B2B and Legal. From those topics a subject of 5 different phrases are present, for instance with Finance the high-paying terms are: spreadbetting offers, ftse day trader, open a forex account, online trading practice account and binary options trade. And if you were to check the United States top paying keywords, they would be strikingly different based on what’s ever in trend at the moment.
All of this may seem a bit of a whirlwind but do not allow that to defeat the main purpose. Implementing these high paying keywords into your blog page after page does add up. Also a great way to keep track of which keywords may come and go, create a list of spreadsheet designed to track which keywords have risen in popularity compared to the ones that have dropped in rank after a period of five months.
Google serves the right to bring all users attention to a segment titled ‘Encouraging Accidental Clicks’. Before suggesting placing a text-link ad close to any navigation buttons, for instance (home, menu or other secondary pages) this is strictly against the handbook. As far as Google Terms Of Services go, encouraging any accidental clicks on ads is forbidden. Furthermore this action can cause any contract you have associated with Google to be terminated as well as the removal or deletion of your site(s).
Why is this rule so strongly supported? Well visitors are meant to roam freely throughout a site without any indication about needing to click on an ad. Clicking on an ad has to be of a visitors own doing. Not in anyway from the influence of the website owner.
To dig a bit deeper, no arrows, lines or any form of directional point can be directed at the ad itself. Because within law this acts as a guiding system by suggesting a user to click on the ad. Again nothing flashy or drawing the eye towards the ad. Some have expressed an unwavering disapproval because in some instances, a website owner may inadvertently place a bit of flashy animation next to the ad without thinking twice. Even more so, paying attention, following Google’s Terms of Service by checking with the policy placement section should give anyone a great idea about what not to do with the placement of their ads.
What Google’s policy upholds is a significant factor in the user’s pure enjoyment/positive website experience. Without hassle or floating ads which happens to not only be annoying but highly unnecessary.
One other great section that has been described in detail is possible alignment with other images, as if to hide the ad in between images. Not only is this confusing to a positive user experience but slightly vindictive.
Do not misinform any of the users who visit your site. Not only have these users become loyal to the content you provide to them but no one wants to fall into a bullied system where clicking on ads is the only reason the site has been started in the first place. Respect the policies, even comb through the bullet points to reaffirm exactly what should be done and what should not.
To further explain, some sites point out that once an ad is clicked on you could be working/saving or contributing to a cause. Never associate a probable cause with cost per click. An immediate suspension of the site holder will be enforced.
Any misleading information pertaining ad placement should be as followed:
